The Shooters Golf Tour partners with Big Brother and Big Sisters of Southeast Michigan

The Shooters Golf Tour announces its partnership with The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southeast Michigan. For many years Big Brothers and Big Sisters have provided role models, companionship, and direction for many of the communities youth. The Shooters Golf Tour has partnered to help further the efforts of Big Brothers and Big Sisters by naming BBBS as a recipient of proceeds generated by the Shooters Golf Tour Birdie Program. The Shooters Golf Tour is a proud partner of The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southeast Michigan program.

Shooters Golf Tour- The Birdie Program 2007

The Shooters Golf Tour announces The Birdie Program 2007. The birdie program gives the Shooters Golf Tour and its membership an opportunity to help the worlds most precious asset, children. Throughout the tournament season, the Shooters Golf Tour will keep record of each birdie that is scored by the players in competition. Shooters Golf Tour Players and other partner organizations will solicit donations from family and the community at large on a per birdie basis. 100% of those donations will then be donated to two charities to be named.

In 2006, there were 930 birdies recorded. The Shooters Golf Tour is excited about this socially responsible opportunity to support the community.

SGT names New Tournament Host

The Shooters Golf Tour is please to announce Elizabeth Furhwerk as the new tournament host. Elizabeth's responsibilities are many, and the players with become more familiar with Elizabeth as she will begin the tournament day. Elizabeth is a key part of the management team and we are delighted to have her aboard.

Shooters Golf Tour Seats New Board Members

The Shooters Golf Tour is pleased to announce the new Shooters Golf Tour 2007 Board Members. New to the board are Doug Birch and Steve Furhwerk as Associate Directors. The two have in the off season, and will continue throughout the season, work on various projects to enhance the Shooters Golf Tour. Also, Derek Lamberger has been named the Head Rules Official to oversee the East, Ladies, and Scratch Division. Brad Byrd will serve as the Head Rules Official to oversee the West Division. We are excited by the presence of these players to the board, and we look forward to an outstanding year.

New and improved Shooters Golf Tour website is now up and running.

We are please to announce the completion of the updated Shooters Golf Tour website. The new website is now functional for the 4 different Divisions within the SGT.
